
Intervertebral rupture is a precipitation of intervertebral disks soft tissues (pulposal nucleus) as a result of the damage of the dense connecting tissues of the disk (fibrous rings) with the formation of crack and hernial channel. Clinically this state is manifested by presence of pain in a place of projection of the damaged disk, pain in extremities (as a result of the jamming of nervous rootlet), by disturbances of the sensitivity of surface and deep muscles, by spasms of skeletal muscles, in the heavy cases by hypertrophy and atrophy of muscular fibers and separate muscles. Intervertebral rupture in the neck part of the spine can be accompanied by headaches, vertigo, earaches, weakening of the visual acuity, memory, retardation of the response reaction, by emotional lability, sleep disturbance , by instability of arterial pressure and frequency of the heart contractions.
